Since its establishment with the approval of the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2015, Chongqing Yongchuan National Agricultural Science and Technology Park has activated the innovation engine, improved industrial level, gathered innovative elements, optimized industrial functional layout, focused on characteristic and advantageous industries, continued to strengthen leading industries, promoted the high-end, concentrated, and integrated development of modern agriculture, and constructed a representative and demonstrative ecological agricultural industry system in hilly areas. In 2022, the total output value of the park exceeded 20 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%.
At the Shengshuihu Vegetable Base in the park, the smart greenhouse of Chongqing Fengmin Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. is spacious and tall compared to ordinary greenhouses, and is a double-layer structure. The roads in the greenhouse are spacious and flat, and the vegetable fields are neat and clean. Metal poles are hung inside the greenhouse, and specially made ropes are orderly fixed inside, dragging vegetables such as tomatoes and eggplants to grow straight.
This is a double-layer intelligent greenhouse invented by ourselves. It effectively solves the pain points of low temperature and low illumination in the southwest region, and the production has increased by 2 to 3 times compared to ordinary greenhouses. “Zhou Jianping, Chairman of Sichuan Fengmin Agricultural Technology Group Co., Ltd., introduced that the greenhouse has low energy consumption insulation and temperature reduction functions, consisting of five major systems: steel structure system, coverage system, integrated water and fertilizer system, green prevention and control system, and intelligent control system.
The two-story arch of the greenhouse ensures high transparency while also providing good insulation; The skylight and shading net use electric guide rail movement, which can quickly open or close the skylight and shading net, achieving the purpose of increasing temperature and cooling. Except for pollination requiring bees and manual pruning for fruit picking, other processes such as plant environmental regulation and water and fertilizer management are all completed by artificial intelligence systems.
In response to the low temperature and low light weather in Chongqing, the company collaborated with leading seed companies to jointly select multiple new varieties of small tomatoes with low light tolerance, such as “Fengmin Jianhong” and “Yinhe 1”, based on the soil and climate conditions of the park. Zhou Jianping said that the growth process of intelligent greenhouses, such as fertilization, irrigation, and lighting, adopts artificial intelligence management. The crop growth speed is fast, and the yield is increased by 4 to 5 times compared to open field planting. The product picking interval is 10-15 days, and the picking period is up to 8 months. The economic benefits are obvious.
