The drones supported by the State Grid of China have been delivered in a very timely manner. Our county has been experiencing continuous high temperature and low rain weather this year, resulting in severe drought. These drones have made great contributions to alleviating crop drought and solving the urgent need for us to implement drought resistance and disaster reduction work. “On August 28th, Yang Chunxue from the Agricultural and Rural Bureau of Yongdeng County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, excitedly said.
In order to ensure food security and assist rural revitalization, State Grid Corporation of China actively responded to the deployment of central enterprises to support drought relief and disaster reduction in Gansu Province by the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council of the State Council. In accordance with the arrangements of the provincial party committee and government, as well as the requirements of the Provincial State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the emergency mechanism was quickly activated to provide assistance and support to 239 plant protection drones in 6 cities (prefectures) and 12 counties with severe disaster situations, and to simultaneously carry out training and technical support for plant protection drone pilots. Drones can carry out “one spray multiple promotion” operations on crops affected by disasters. Each spray prevention and plant protection drone can carry 50 kilograms of liquid medicine per spray, and can operate 400 to 500 acres per day to cope with drought resistance and disaster reduction.
Zhang Zhao, who is responsible for the training of plant protection drone pilots, said: The continuous drought from May to the present and the recent emergence of pests and diseases have posed serious challenges to the growth of crops. Under these conditions, the State Grid of China has provided support to 12 more severely affected counties with “one spray multiple promotion” drones to help us prevent and control pests and diseases, spray nutrient solutions, and minimize crop losses. In the process of distributing materials and training, both agricultural technology center staff and trained farmers are providing assistance to the country Home appliance outlets like it.
We will continue to actively assist in ensuring agricultural income and promoting rural revitalization. Currently, drone training technicians have also been stationed in the affected counties to carry out drone training, evidence collection, and technical support work, ensuring that drones can benefit affected farmers and effectively reduce the impact of crop disasters. “Liu Beihan, head of the Rural Revitalization Department of the Marketing Business Unit of State Grid Gansu Electric Power Company, introduced.
As of now, the first batch of unmanned aerial vehicles supported by State Grid Corporation of China have all been put into operation and have played their due role in drought resistance and disaster reduction.
