In the wheat production base of Xintao Family Farm, Sanchengxiang Nature Village, Jinglin Village, Danyang Development Zone, the wheat stored through a winter has already sprouted new leaves, and the plump young leaves are growing emerald green and rippling in layers under the breeze. On the morning of March 2, the head of the farm, Shu Yuntao, and his father, Shu Yuxin, supplemented the self-propelled plant protection machine with herbicides at the edge of the field. “My family planted more than 300 mu of wheat last winter, and now it has all turned green. The weather looks good these two days, so I arranged with my father to come over and take medicine.” Shu Yuntao, who was helping to pump water near the plant protection machine, said.

Shu Yuntao, 36 years old, is a new type of professional farmer who has helped his father engage in agricultural activities for eight or nine years. The accumulation of experience has made him gradually grow into another pillar of the farm. He said that the temperature was low a while ago, and forced weeding not only had poor effect, but also might damage wheat seedlings. In order to avoid the influence of the sprayed drugs on the surrounding crops, he and his father specially selected the self-propelled spray bar spray for low altitude operation.

On the morning of March 6, a plant protection UAV was circling around the wheat field around the village of Sheshang, Zhenbei Village, Danyang Development Zone, spraying fine creamy white spray evenly on each wheat seedling… The owner of the wheat field, Wei Guoliang, and the operator of the UAV were observing the effect of the flight defense operation at the field side. “Today is a sunny day, with high temperature and little wind. It is very suitable to sprinkle medicine and weed.” Wei Guoliang said with a smile.
