Recently, in Guangyi Village, Jianzhong Town, Santai County, technicians held a remote controller to control the takeoff and landing of the drone near the field. According to the preset trajectory, the drone conducted flight prevention operations, spraying boron fertilizer and fungicides on the rape leaves. Wherever you go, a thin mist evenly spreads over the rape plants (as shown in the picture). In a short time, nearly 100 acres of rape fields were sprayed.
Looking at the “new agricultural tools” in the hands of technicians, villagers expressed in succession, “This’ new agricultural tool ‘is not bad, it does not harm rapeseed but also saves costs, and there is no need to worry about pests and diseases. It really saves time, money, and worry.”
It is understood that 1460 mu of rape has been included in the drone plant protection program in Jianzhong Town. The drone “goes into battle” to carry out flight defense operations, with an average of over 500 mu of pesticide per unit per day, which is more than 30 times the efficiency of manual work. Through flight defense, the yield loss of rapeseed caused by sclerotinia sclerotiorum disease is reduced by 15% to 20%, greatly improving the efficiency of spring plowing. At the same time, the spray spraying method can save 50% of pesticide usage, and the spraying effect is far higher than that of manual and electric spray. In addition, the remote control operation of unmanned aerial vehicles effectively avoids the scratching of rape by traditional manual spraying, can also help operators avoid the risk of exposure to pesticides, and improve the safety of spraying operations.
“The next step is to continue to focus on the management of agricultural science and technology, continuously improve the villagers’ ability to apply high technology through strengthening publicity, on-site teaching, and other methods, and strive to promote the high-quality development of agriculture in the whole town with the help of technology empowerment.” The relevant person in charge of Jianzhong Town said that it will provide comprehensive services to villagers in all aspects of “cultivation, planting, management, and income”, helping them reduce labor costs and achieve rich harvests.
