According to the characteristics of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) agricultural remote sensing, such as high spatial resolution of images, strong timeliness of data acquisition, and low cost, the team of Zhejiang University explored the data acquisition methods and data processing methods for UAV remote sensing monitoring of crop diseases and insect pests stress. The recent research progress in monitoring crop diseases and insect pests by drone remote sensing at home and abroad is reviewed from six aspects: visible light imaging remote sensing, multispectral imaging remote sensing, hyperspectral imaging remote sensing, thermal infrared imaging remote sensing, lidar imaging remote sensing, and multi remote sensing fusion and comparison. To provide reference and reference for grasping the research hotspots, application bottlenecks, and development trends of UAV remote sensing monitoring of crop diseases and insect pests stress, with a view to helping China’s UAV remote sensing monitoring of crop diseases and insect pests stress become more standardized, informative, accurate, and intelligent.
