Spring breeze melts, fertile fields recover. In order to ensure that spring plowing production is not delayed during the farming season, the County Modern Agriculture Development Center recently organized a demonstration training on 2023 new plant protection machinery and unmanned aerial vehicle plant protection and flight prevention to fully ensure food security.
A new type of machinery “shows its skill” and “sees the real chapter” in the field. At the training demonstration site of Huafeng Township’s new type of plant protection machinery, technical experts provided detailed explanations to participants on the basic knowledge of plant protection drones, drone related management specifications, agricultural disease and pest control, drone flight prevention operation technical specifications, maintenance, and other theoretical knowledge. During the practical training, technical personnel demonstrate the technical essentials of dispensing, dosing, takeoff and landing, hovering, and other links for the trainees on site. The students watched carefully, sought advice with an open mind, and practiced repeatedly.
It is understood that using plant protection drones to control crop diseases and insect pests is a new technology that meets the needs of modern agriculture and modern plant protection. The drone used in this flight prevention demonstration can load 40 liters of pesticide per aircraft, and spray 40 acres of land with one dose of pesticide. Compared to traditional manual control, the plant protection drone can spray more evenly, achieve better atomization effect, and kill insects faster. It can complete over 1000 acres of pesticide application operations in one day, greatly saving manpower, time, and cost.
