Spring plowing with “black technology” unmanned equipment to increase efficiency

The weather is gradually warming up, coinciding with the good season for transplanting early rice. On April 13th, at the high standard farmland demonstration base in Xinmin Village, Wanyu Town, Huarong County, the support of “black technology” such as unmanned rice transplanters and agricultural drones gave traditional agriculture wings of technology.

In the field of Wang Bihua, a rice transplanter equipped with Beidou satellite navigation and positioning technology, slowly passed by. Wherever it passed, the seedlings were neatly inserted into the field. According to the introduction, only one person needs to set up the seedling tray on each rice transplanter, and the machine can transplant the seedlings according to the preset trajectory; A unmanned rice transplanter can complete the transplanting of at least 40 acres of rice seedlings in a day, which not only saves labor costs but also improves work efficiency.

At the edge of the field, technicians operate a drone loaded with fertilizer and fly at a constant speed over the field. In just a few minutes, the drone completed the fertilizer spraying of over 10 acres of paddy fields. Zhang Jihua, the head of the Agricultural Mechanization Management Unit of Huarong County Agriculture and Rural Bureau, introduced that the drone spraying speed of pesticides can reach 320 acres per hour, which is 40 times faster than manual spraying, and the spraying is more uniform and efficient.

Wang Bihua planted over 3000 acres of early rice this year. He said that in the past, manual transplanting faced difficulties and high costs in hiring people. The introduction of intelligent and efficient agricultural machinery operations solved the labor problem, and the state also provided subsidies for agricultural machinery, greatly reducing production costs.

In recent years, Huarong County has adhered to technology empowerment and actively introduced high-tech intelligent agricultural machinery equipment such as unmanned rice transplanters and agricultural drones through policy support, demonstration and guidance, and optimization of services. Through intelligent development, it has promoted the upgrading of agricultural mechanization, promoted stable grain production and income increase, and promoted the development of modern agriculture. At present, with the continuous promotion of advanced and applicable agricultural machinery equipment and new agricultural technologies, Huarong farmers are gradually transitioning from “skilled farming” to “intelligent farming”, and their confidence in grain cultivation is constantly increasing.
