In 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued the “Digital Agriculture and Rural Development Plan (2019-2025)”, further clarifying that digital agriculture is the development direction of future agriculture.
At present, although the development of China’s digital agriculture has achieved remarkable results, it is also facing many problems. Specifically, the investment in agricultural equipment is heavy on mechanization and light on digitalization of equipment; agricultural data collection is insufficient, and the level of agricultural intelligence needs to be improved; the digital economy is weak and the productization ability is weak; the investment in the digitalization of agricultural product circulation is large, and the investment in digitalization of agricultural production is small. These phenomena restrict the further development of digital agriculture.
