In recent years, drones have been widely used in agriculture, forestry, and other fields. Activities such as spraying pesticides and fertilizers, aerial photography, and illegal operation of special vehicles by drones have been more frequent, resulting in multiple accidents of external damage and tripping of power facilities. In order to effectively protect the power facilities in our county, on April 20th, staff from the Electricity Protection Office of the County Science and Technology Bureau and the County Power Supply Company went to Jiucheng Farm to carry out a special publicity campaign to prevent drones from damaging power facilities.
The staff went deep into the fields, spraying pesticides and fertilizers on drones, aerial photography, and special vehicle operation sites, promoting safety knowledge of power facility protection to drones, special vehicle operators, and staff, and distributing promotional materials such as “Safety Reminders for Plant Protection Drones Flying in and Around Overhead Power Line Protection Zones”.
The staff also distributed power flyers and hung slogans and banners in densely populated areas of various towns and villages, widely promoting laws and regulations such as the “Regulations on the Protection of Electric Power Facilities”, creating a good atmosphere for power facility protection, and reminding drone operators and farmers to operate and use drones correctly to avoid the occurrence of drone collision accidents.
Through this promotion, we can effectively reduce and prevent safety hazards caused by agricultural drones on power lines, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the power grid.
