600 drones light up the night sky of Nanping

On the evening of April 29th, the 2023 “May Day New Consumption Season” unmanned aerial vehicle formation flying performance event in Wuhua District was held over Nanping Pedestrian Street. 600 drones constantly transform their formations, presenting 16 images, bringing a visual feast of light and shadow in the air for citizens and tourists.

As night fell, the square of Nanping Pedestrian Street was crowded with people, and tens of thousands of citizens came from all directions, waiting for the drone performance. At 8:30 pm, in the spotlight, 600 drones flickered with lights and rose into the air in a square formation, presenting a novel and cool performance on the night sky stage. “Hello, Wuhua!” and other text patterns and Wuhua element patterns such as the military academy and the jacaranda were changed in turn, which made the audience gasp and take out their mobile phones to record this wonderful moment.

The on-site citizens expressed that the power of technology in Wuhua District has made them feel the modern and technological sense of Wuhua District. Especially on this May Day holiday, the moment when the drone platoon and deployment showed “glory of labor” made him very excited.

Many children at the scene cheerfully said, “I think it’s very unique and novel. I’m curious about how this drone can arrange so many formations in the air, and it’s very neat, so that everyone can understand what it’s depicting at a glance. I want to study science and technology well, and grow up to research technology and space.
