Taiyuan: Using drones for maintenance to activate a new mode of plant protection

Recently, a “smart maintenance” drone, under the operation of the staff, jumped from the ground and rose to an altitude of 22 meters above the ground. After stabilization, evenly spray the pesticide onto the green plants. This is the first time that Taiyuan Jintai Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. Tielin Branch has applied drone flight prevention technology to green maintenance work.

Tielin Branch, as the only unit of China Railway Taiyuan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. with green qualifications, has been engaged in green maintenance work for many years. In spring, to prevent common diseases and pests such as red spiders, aphids, and scale insects from affecting the growth of green plants, Tielin Branch regularly organizes the spraying of pest control pesticides to ensure the healthy growth of green plants. However, traditional manual spraying operations have problems such as low pesticide efficiency, insufficient spraying height, and uneven spraying.

The drone can carry 40 liters of pesticide at a time, continuously spraying an area of over 1200 square meters. This plant protection operation covers an area of over 8500 square meters and takes one and a half hours, compared to the previous manual operation which took 2 days, resulting in a significant improvement in efficiency. During operation, the strong wind generated by the high-speed rotation of the drone blades evenly sprays the pesticides atomized by the centrifugal nozzle onto the green plant leaves, avoiding the problem of missed spraying and re spraying during manual spraying, and improving the utilization rate and control effect of pesticides.
