Digital agriculture Helps Spring Farming

At present, the fertile fields of the Northern Wilderness are plowing soundly in spring. Unmanned rice paddies, unmanned seedling transportation, and unmanned seedling transplanting… The construction of the Seven Star Modern Agriculture Industrial Park at the Sanjiang Branch of Beidahuang Group showcases “smart agriculture” in spring cultivation. In the process of achieving high-quality development in Beidahuang and striving to form an aircraft carrier in the agricultural field, Beidahuang Group focuses on the development of modern agriculture and enterprise management, accelerates the construction of modern agricultural large bases, enterprises, and industries, and strives to build a first-class modern agricultural enterprise group.

The key to agricultural modernization lies in technological progress. Adapting to technological innovation is the direction of modern agricultural enterprise development. During the epidemic, the pace of spring ploughing production of Beidahuang Group not only did not slow down, but also was faster than in previous years, which benefited from the active promotion and application of digital agriculture in reclamation areas. Guo Baosong, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Beidahuang Agricultural Reclamation Group Corporation (General Administration of Agricultural Reclamation), said, In order to ensure the standardization and upgrading of spring plowing production, and achieve modern agricultural transformation and upgrading, the reclamation area adheres to the principle of science and technology first in spring plowing production, and deeply implements the strategy of ‘storing grain in technology’. A series of advanced technologies have been applied in spring plowing production. Currently, dry field agricultural production has fully shifted to the field management stage, and rice field transplanting has completed about 40%, both faster than in previous years

Digital agriculture is characterized by full coverage of production links, automatic transfer operations, automatic risk avoidance and safety, real-time monitoring of the whole process, and no one in precision agriculture. These characteristics are fully demonstrated in the Seven Star Modern Agricultural Industrial Park. Recently, an exciting news came: Beidahuang Group Jiansanjiang Branch has started the construction of the first batch of “unmanned farms” in our province. The application scenarios of unmanned farms have become beautiful scenery in the spring plowing production of Beidahuang: the unmanned rice transplanters of Erdaohe Farm have achieved automatic delivery, entry, alignment, and operation; The use of unmanned rice transplanters by Beidahuang Co., Ltd. Jiangbin Branch can not only improve work efficiency by more than 20%, but also save 50% of labor costs.

The future development goal of Beidahuang is to strive to develop modern agriculture, continue to bear the heavy responsibility of ensuring national food security, and firmly move towards a world-class modern agricultural enterprise group. Digital agriculture is only one aspect of the vigorous development of modern agricultural enterprises of Beidahuang Group. In the process of transitioning from traditional farms to modern agricultural enterprises, the path of enterprise oriented reform has taken an important step forward through the “dual control and one service” approach, truly incorporating production factors into enterprise oriented operations. According to Chi Hongwei, deputy director of the Agricultural Development Department of Bei’an Branch, in terms of input control, the Branch focuses on strengthening the centralized procurement and unified supply of means of production such as seeds, fertilizers and pesticides to reduce production costs. At the same time, we will vigorously promote the centralized procurement of means of production focusing on fertilizers. During the preparation for spring ploughing, 15 farms will purchase fertilizers in a centralized manner, which will save more than 23 million yuan for growers in 2020. (Continued to Fifth Edition)
