Qinghai: Modern Agricultural Industrial Park Drive More than 200000 Farmers and Herdsmen to Increase Income

In recent years, Qinghai Province has been closely focused on creating a green organic agricultural and livestock product export destination, actively creating modern agricultural industrial parks, advantageous characteristic industrial clusters, and strong industrial towns, promoting the development of agricultural and animal husbandry parks and clusters, and accelerating the pace of modern agricultural demonstration and leadership. It has shown strong scientific and technological leadership, clear advantages in green development, strong driving force for subject cultivation, and bright characteristic advantage brands. According to statistics, 822 professional cooperatives for farmers and herdsmen have been established in modern agricultural industrial parks across the province, driving 207600 farmers and herdsmen.

Since 2017, our province has successively applied to establish 5 national level modern agricultural industrial parks, among which Dulan County Goji and Zeku County Yak Modern Agricultural Industrial Park have passed national recognition; Menyuan highland barley (rapeseed) and Gonghe County Tibetan sheep industrial park are being established and recognized. This year, they have applied for the mutual aid hybrid spring rapeseed industrial park and have been included in the list of national modern agricultural industrial parks to be established. The characteristic industry leading zone, technology equipment integration zone, three industry integration development zone, entrepreneurship and innovation incubation zone, and modern agriculture demonstration core zone are gradually being created and formed.

At present, our province has established 27 provincial-level modern agricultural industrial parks and 5 national level modern agricultural industrial parks. 60% of the leading enterprises at or above the city and state level in the province are integrated into modern agricultural industrial parks, forming agricultural industrialization consortiums through forms such as “companies+farmer cooperatives+family farms” and “companies+family farms”, expanding and strengthening advantageous characteristic leading industries, and achieving integrated production, processing, and sales management. Each industrial park has collaborated with 6 higher education institutions and 12 key research institutes, achieving 4 national level scientific and technological achievements, 9 provincial-level major scientific and technological achievements, and educating and training over 5200 high-quality farmers.

In addition, our province has established three advantageous characteristic industrial clusters, supporting 71 leading enterprises in agricultural and animal husbandry industrialization, provincial-level agricultural and animal husbandry industrialization consortia, farmers’ professional cooperatives, ecological animal husbandry cooperatives, and other various business entities. We have built 74 processing and production lines, newly cultivated 4 national agricultural industrialization leading enterprises, and 7 provincial-level agricultural industrialization leading enterprises, driving a total of 30500 households of farmers and herdsmen; The total agricultural output value of the 15 strong industrial towns that have been built has reached 4.652 billion yuan, the total industrial chain output value of the leading industry has reached 2.72 billion yuan, and the number of employed farmers and herdsmen has reached 107000.
