Caojing Town attaches great importance to the annual “Three Summers” work. The most widely planted and important crop in a year is rice. It is now in the sowing stage, and it is expected that 9937.45 acres of rice will be planted in Caojing Town this year.
Unlike previous years, this year, the Agricultural and Rural Service Center of Caojing Town has explored new planting models and collaborated with Yuhai Rice Planting Professional Cooperative to use live streaming machines and drones for sowing. Currently, more than 80 acres of land have been seeded by drones. Yin Yuwei, the person in charge of Yuhai Cooperative, introduced that compared to conventional sowing machines, drones have advantages such as multiple functions, fast speed, reduced manpower, and even sowing. Especially in areas with soft soil, they have the advantage of not being afraid of falling compared to traditional agricultural machines, greatly reducing labor and improving efficiency.
Technical personnel from the Agricultural Service Center in Caojing Town told reporters that drones will not only be used for sowing, but also play an important role in the subsequent fertilization and pesticide application processes. It is reported that in order to carry out drone farming in an orderly manner, the Agricultural Service Center of Caojing Town has specially organized staff to conduct drone training and certification, in order to provide professional management services for professional production and reduce the possibility of accidents during the production of new agricultural machinery.
In the current era of vigorously developing scientific farming, as the age structure of agricultural workers continues to age younger, the Agricultural Service Center of Caojing Town is also constantly exploring and developing new agricultural planting technologies, introducing new models of dry land upland rice planting and film covering. At the same time, sowing, fertilizing, watering, and film covering are carried out, which not only saves manpower but also improves sowing efficiency. At the same time, using film covering technology can also reduce weed growth.
To ensure yield, sufficient efforts were made to cultivate and eliminate weeds in the field and underground before sowing rice. First, store water in the fields to allow the scattered fields to be planted and some grass to sprout. Afterwards, before sowing, plow and weed again to reduce grass damage and seize nutrients, allowing the rice to grow normally.
Next, Caojing Town Agricultural Service Center will further strengthen technical guidance to ensure that direct seeding of rice will be completed by June 10, and mechanized transplanting will be completed by June 20, so as to strive for 100% mechanized planting rate of rice, strengthen field management, do a good job in Pest control, base ditch management and cleaning, reduce the impact of meteorological disasters on agricultural production, improve grain production level, and ensure high grain yield and harvest.
