Promote agricultural drones to solve the problem of insufficient agricultural labor force

In response to the aging agricultural workforce and insufficient successors, the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries announced a plan on the 18th to promote small agricultural drones. According to the plan, by 2022, agricultural drones will be introduced in more than half of Japan’s paddy, wheat, and soybean fields, in order to reduce the manpower required for agricultural operations and improve agricultural production efficiency.
