Building Digital Agriculture to Promote Agricultural and Rural Modernization in Tong’an

Tong’an is the administrative district in Xiamen with the largest rural area and the heaviest proportion of agriculture. Since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Tong’an has adhered to the principle of “focusing on agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, promoting revitalization”, and comprehensively promoting the high-quality development of modern agriculture. In order to better serve the work of “agriculture, rural areas and farmers” and boost the construction of digital agriculture, the Tong’an District Modern Agricultural Comprehensive Service Center of Xiamen will hold the unveiling ceremony on July 16.

Tong’an Modern Agricultural Comprehensive Service Center will focus on the Digital transformation of agriculture in Tong’an District, promote the new model of digital agriculture, improve the system and mechanism for promoting rural revitalization, improve the urban-rural integration development system, serve the work of “agriculture, rural areas and farmers” in the mode of “science and technology+media+industry”, and empower the construction of public brands in Tong’an District in terms of financial assistance, new professional farmer training, digital technology, production and marketing docking, etc, Assist in promoting the modernization of agriculture and rural areas in Tong’an.

In recent years, Tong’an has been leading the way in building a comprehensive agricultural and rural modernization demonstration zone and a model area for rural revitalization in Xiamen. It has vigorously developed modern facility agriculture, increased the cultivation of agricultural varieties, strengthened industrial integration and development, and actively expanded channels for increasing farmers’ income.
