Strengthen Pest control of rice to help stabilize grain yield and harvest

Recently, pests such as rice planthoppers and rice leaf rollers have invaded rice, affecting its growth. In order to effectively control the spread of rice diseases and insect pests and ensure that rice diseases and insect pests achieve the effect of group prevention and control, Hekou Township actively carried out effective measures such as field guidance of rice Pest control, UAV unified control and pesticide spraying, and pesticide distribution, to comprehensively strengthen rice Pest control and help ensure stable food production and bumper harvest.

In the farmland of various villages in Hekou Township, technical personnel from the Agricultural Service Center delve into the field to understand the actual situation, explain to farmers the types of current rice diseases and pests, how to prevent, control, and use drugs, in order to effectively solve the problem of rice disease and pest invasion, and enable farmers to understand the scientific prevention and control of diseases and pests.

At the same time, drones were used to control and spray pesticides on rice fields at various rice planting demonstration sites in Hekou Township. Agricultural technicians are busy loading the prepared medicine into the medicine box of the plant protection drone, and then operating the remote control, the drone soars into the air, quickly flying over the rice field, and evenly spraying the medicine on the rice leaves. In a short while, a piece of rice field was sprayed.

Hekou Township adheres to the plant protection policy of “prevention first, comprehensive prevention and control”, organizes agricultural technicians to go deep into the field to guide rice Pest control, and at the same time, connects with the higher agricultural department to strive for the unified control of UAVs to spray pesticides, pesticides and other materials, and distribute them to the severely affected farmers to ensure effective prevention and control.

It is understood that since June, Hekou Township has organized agricultural technicians to guide rice Pest control in the field for more than 110 times, distributed 2380 bottles of two pesticides in total, and sprayed more than 500 mu of pesticides at three demonstration sites under the rule of UAV unified prevention, laying a solid foundation for this year’s bumper crop.
