Inside the shed, workers are skillfully preparing for the early planting of soilless tomatoes. Greenhouse technical operator Shao Jianping said: These introduced high-end varieties originally took 4 to 6 months to mature and had seasonal limitations. Currently, they can be grown in greenhouses for 2 months and all year round. After maturity, they also have better taste and appearance. They can also be planted on the same land for many years, especially for the same crops, such as chili peppers and leafy vegetables. Eliminating the labor costs of soil preparation and fertilization can achieve steady increase in yield and income.
The smart greenhouse is centered around “agricultural visualization, planting informatization, and irrigation intelligence”, equipped with intelligent temperature control systems, positioning monitoring and intelligent precision management systems, planting data, etc., to accurately “pulse” crop growth: using rock wool that can reduce pests and control nutrient content to replace soil, reduce pesticide use, and effectively isolate soil borne diseases and underground pests; Automatically adjust the lighting based on real-time data transmission of crop growth, control the temperature, humidity, lighting and other growth conditions inside the greenhouse; Implement intelligent and controllable drip irrigation that directly reaches the roots and stems of crops, and timely supplement fertilizer nutrients through integrated irrigation with water and fertilizer. The new generation of information technologies such as mechanization, big data, and artificial intelligence have been widely applied here and have been included in the third batch of Jiujiang Modern Agricultural Industrial Park’s list of improving quality and efficiency.
Caihe Village has a superior natural environment and has been awarded the title of “National Forest Village”. Introduction by Chen Zegui, Secretary of the Village Party Branch: After conducting inspections and research in surrounding cities and counties, the village committee collectively discussed and believed that the conditions for developing greenhouse vegetables were suitable. Therefore, the village collective decided to invest 2.6 million yuan to build an intelligent vegetable greenhouse comprehensive industrial park. Planting vegetables in the greenhouse is not limited by seasons, and can absorb 30 nearby villagers to work at their doorstep four seasons a year. It is expected that the entire industrial park will produce 600000 kilograms of vegetables annually, which can increase the income of the village collective by about 300000 yuan
In addition, in the smart fruit and vegetable greenhouse of Nieqiao Yongfeng Red Agricultural and Tourism Comprehensive Industrial Park in De’an County, all characteristic grape varieties such as Zuijinxiang and Jurose have been planted. The industrial park aims to build a national comprehensive tourism demonstration zone in the new cultural and tourism era. By utilizing modern communication technologies such as big data and cloud computing, it has launched the construction of a smart system for scenic spots, established effective and unified management, service, marketing and other information systems, and established the tourism brand of Wenlumei Town. It has now become a 3A level rural tourism destination in Jiangxi Province and a research and learning base in Jiujiang City.
