Anhui Bozhou “Unmanned” Farm “Hui” Farming

According to the News and Newspaper Abstracts of China National Radio and Television, Jiao Rui, a post-90s farmer, is skillfully operating various modern agricultural equipment in a thousand mu unmanned farm in Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province during the spring ploughing season. Technology has assisted smart agriculture and improved the quality and efficiency of production.

This is the “unmanned farm” located in Zhaoqiao Township, Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province. The first stop for farm leaders Jiao Rui and his father Jiao Kui to “farm” every day is the command hall of the farm. Jiao Rui checked through the smart platform the wheat that had just been sprayed with green manure using a drone a few days ago, and the wheat looked good.

In 2021, the first unmanned farm in Anhui settled on the land transferred by Jiao Rui. As the head of the farm, he began researching the Internet big data farming, achieving unmanned, precise, and intelligent operations in the farming, planting, management, and harvesting processes. The unmanned farm has expanded from over 300 acres initially to 1000 acres now.

On the huge screen, with the movement of the mouse, the images in the fields constantly change. With gentle clicks, the data is also displayed. Jiao Rui said that through this smart platform, real-time information such as field soil, air temperature and humidity can be viewed, and decisions can be made on when to apply medicine, topdressing, and when it is most suitable for harvesting. In addition to cameras and remote sensors, the farm is also equipped with integrated facilities for water and fertilizer, as well as a pest monitoring system. Nowadays, he can know the growth of crops in the field without having to go down to the ground.

The equipment is relatively fixed and also flexible. Jiao Rui drives a plant protection machine with two iron poles out of the cooperative’s greenhouse, wipes the nozzles and cameras on the machine, checks the auto drive system, and the next step is the weeding of wheat on the farm.

These high-tech unmanned machinery in unmanned farms are also full of allure for other large grain farmers. The large grain farming household in Qiaocheng District, who is also surrounded by nearly a thousand acres of land, occasionally comes to Jiao Rui’s unmanned farm to “learn from”.

Nowadays, Jiao Rui is a technology specialist in Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City. He hopes for higher yields in the field and more people to work with him to become a new farmer in the new era.
