The creation of high yield soybean in the Corps has achieved “fruitful results”

This year, the Corps has taken measures to promote improved varieties and high-yield cultivation techniques, expand planting area, strip compound planting, and repeat sowing, and has taken multiple measures to promote the creation of high yield soybeans. The soybean planting area has been expanded to over 200000 acres. As of now, good news has been circulating in various soybean production areas of the Corps: the unit yield of 31000 mu of replanted soybeans in the 1st Division exceeds 200 kilograms, the actual yield of 44000 mu of soybeans in the 7th Division reaches 210 kilograms, the unit yield of soybeans planted in the 8th Division, 14th and 1st Regiment reaches 260 kilograms, and the unit yield of soybeans in the 150th Regiment approaches 360 kilograms. The unit yield of soybeans planted in the 2nd and 3rd Divisions exceeds the national average level.

It is reported that in order to expand the soybean planting area and increase soybean production, the Corps relies on local financial funds to subsidize soybean farmers with 300 yuan per mu. Each division city formulates a work plan for creating high yield soybeans, provides corresponding preferential policies for farmers in terms of water use, increases the promotion and application of new technologies, encourages farmers to choose optimal varieties and adjust planting modes, and provides timely services and guidance in water and fertilizer management, comprehensive pest control, and other aspects.

Zeng Kai, an associate researcher at the Crop Research Institute of Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Reclamation Sciences, introduced that the focus of soybean high-yield creation work lies in improved varieties and high-yield cultivation techniques. The Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Reclamation adopts drip irrigation under film, high fertilizer and moderate chemical control techniques to screen and cultivate new soybean varieties with high yield potential and excellent quality. Not long ago, our newly selected Xinzhendou 1 was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and selected for the 2022 Xinjiang Major Crop Variety Approval Catalogue (the first batch), We have established a soybean breeding system with regional characteristics, strengthened the creation of core germplasm resources and the cultivation of major breakthrough new varieties, and comprehensively improved the soybean breeding level and efficiency of the Xinjiang Agricultural Reclamation Academy. The 190 acre high yield field of New Soybean No. 23 under the guidance of the Eighth Division, 147th Regiment, and the 114 acre repeated sowing high yield field of the First Division, Seventh Regiment, have a yield of 391.2 kilograms per unit.

The Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Reclamation Sciences also integrates the “three adjustments and one control” technology with water regulation, fertilizer regulation, density regulation, and plant height control as the core. According to the characteristics of the soybean planting areas in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, different high-yield cultivation models are studied and determined in different regions, and a series of high-yield cultivation technical regulations for soybeans are formulated to improve the level of soybean yield per unit area. The soybean planting group has trained more than 1800 agricultural technicians and planters on key technologies such as soybean and corn belt compound planting, spring sowing soybean high-yield cultivation, and post wheat multiple planting soybean high-yield cultivation.
