With the buzzing of the propeller, the drone quickly took off under the operation of the staff, following the set route and flying at a constant speed along the corn field, spraying a uniform white cloud downwards. In just a few minutes, the foliar fertilization work for 10 acres of land was completed.
Intelligent drones can spray foliar fertilizer on an area of about 1000 acres per day. Using plant protection drones to control pests and diseases not only reduces labor intensity, but also alleviates the long-standing problem of “difficult pesticide application” in agricultural plant protection. Currently, some corn has grown taller than humans, making it difficult and inefficient to use manual spraying to control pests and diseases. With plant protection drones, he has full confidence in disease and pest control.
Previously, we had to manually spray fertilizers into the fields, which was very difficult. Today, agricultural technicians use drones to spray fertilizers for us for free, which has greatly benefited our farmers and laid a good foundation for increasing corn production and income, “said Fang Weiyu.
Ning Houhuang, the head of the Agricultural Technology Promotion Station in Ningming County, stated that the organization of “one spray multiple promotions” for autumn corn mainly aims to strengthen the stress resistance of crops such as corn, promote grain filling and maturity, increase yield per unit area, promote one yield, and steadily increase income, providing strong technological support to ensure the growth and harvest of autumn crops.
It is understood that the corn planting area in Ningming County will remain stable at around 45400 acres in 2023.
