On August 21st, a plant protection drone conducted a flying defense operation over a rice field in Gewang Village, Taihe District, Jinzhou City. As of now, Jinzhou City has launched 600 drone sorties around green prevention and control of rice diseases and pests, with a flight prevention area of 15000 acres. At present, the crops in the city are growing better than usual, laying a solid foundation for a bumper grain harvest throughout the year.
In the summer of Gewang Village, the rice fields are like a green ocean. The drone operation took less than 15 minutes and the spraying of over ten acres of rice fields was completed. The drone spraying medicine saves time, effort, and money, and sprays evenly! “The villagers discussed with satisfaction. Nowadays, drones have become a good helper for farmers. Working with drones increases the adhesion and permeability of pesticides, improves their efficacy, and increases the safety of pesticide application.
This year, Jinzhou City also implemented the Seed Industry Revitalization Project. Two corn varieties have been approved by the Provincial Crop Variety Approval Committee, and two peanut varieties have been registered by the state. At the same time, Jinzhou City has continuously improved the level of agricultural machinery and equipment, adding 16000 sets of agricultural machinery, twice the amount added last year. The city has organized plant protection and fruit tree experts to go deep into the agricultural production line four times, and carried out special scientific and technological services.
