On August 22nd, in Dazhangzhuang Village, Ranzhuang Town, Qingyuan District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, planting tycoon Zhang Junxiang and agricultural technicians were conducting plant protection drone defense operations on corn.
It is understood that plant protection drone flight prevention is a crop disease and pest control technology that has been continuously promoted and widely used in recent years. Compared to traditional manual pesticide spraying modes, drones spray pesticides quickly, efficiently, and can be operated on a large scale. This not only greatly reduces labor costs, but also improves pesticide utilization efficiency.
Plant protection unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight prevention is the process of atomizing the liquid medicine and evenly distributing it on the surface of crops. It only takes one minute to complete the flight prevention operation for one acre of corn. “Zhang Junxiang said that he planted 100 acres of corn this year, saving 25 yuan in cost per acre, a total of 2500 yuan. Compared to manual spraying, plant protection drones are more efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly in flight prevention, making them the best way to prevent and control pests and diseases in crops such as corn.
According to Liu Shuxiang, the head of the Plant Protection Station of the Agriculture and Rural Bureau in Qingyuan District, since August this year, the district has vigorously promoted modern scientific and technological means, actively using plant protection drones to control pests and diseases on over 570000 acres of corn in the entire area. Each drone has a daily operating volume of 800 to 1500 acres. At present, 300000 acres have been completed, and it is expected to complete the full coverage of corn unified prevention and control in the entire region by the end of August, helping to achieve high autumn grain yield and harvest.
