Chongqing: heavy-load unmanned aerial vehicles help restore the forest green after the disaster

On March 12, the spring rain fell in Chongqing, and the researchers of the Chongqing Academy of Forestry Sciences were happy to see the restored forest fire affected mountains and forests. Through the help of heavy-load UAV in the afforestation of mountainous areas with dangerous terrain, the work of rapid planting and restoration of vegetation was completed quickly, which greatly improved the progress of forest restoration.

On the other side of the mountain, a small heavy-load UAV hovers in the air, dropping seeds from time to time – this is another group of technicians carrying out a heavy-load UAV seeding test. According to the site conditions of the demonstration site, the technicians took the heavy duty UAV precision seeding and further grasped the uniformity and accuracy of the UAV seeding.

At the seeding site, the heavy-loaded UAV first mixed and dropped a variety of shrub seeds, and then the technicians monitored the seeding effect, and solidified the UAV seeding flight technical parameters through the test, and summarized the technical model. In this project, the test team mixed 900 kg of black locust, ginger seed, mulberry, yellow wattle and other seeds, carried out seeding monitoring, and completed the seeding task of 300 mu.

In areas where the site conditions are poor and it is inconvenient to plant seedlings, the precise aerial seeding of heavy-duty unmanned aerial vehicles and the rapid seeding of artificial seedlings can effectively develop and summarize the technical achievements of the rapid seeding and rapid planting of vegetation restoration after the disaster of heavy-duty unmanned aerial vehicles and in areas with poor geographical conditions, and radiate and drive the vegetation restoration in the disaster-affected areas and areas with poor site conditions.
