In early spring, as the temperature warms up, the village of Duimenshan in Longchang Town, Zhenfeng County has stepped up efforts to prepare for spring cultivation. Modern agricultural machinery has taken turns to “add wisdom” to spring cultivation, presenting a new landscape of spring cultivation in the fields.
At present, it is the crucial period for tea spring management. To seize agricultural time in Menshan Village, plant protection drone flying defense operations are implemented, and spring management and protection of tea gardens are carried out, effectively improving labor efficiency and ensuring tea production and income.
“The benefits of drones are to save time and money. We end the day with drone dosing in the morning. If we rely on manual dosing, it will take three days to complete,” said Li Yuchen, a manager of Shusen Tea Garden in the opposite Menshan village of Longchang Town.
On the tea hill in the village of Duimenshan, technicians are operating a plant protection drone flying at a constant speed, spraying trace element foliar fertilizer evenly on the tea trees to carry out green and precise prevention and control of the tea garden. It is understood that low altitude spraying of fertilizers and pesticides by plant protection drones is a new technology that meets the needs of modern agriculture and modern plant protection. Compared to traditional spraying methods, it has the characteristics of simple operation, high efficiency, uniform spraying, good atomization effect, and large-scale operation. The efficiency is 30 to 50 times higher than that of manual and traditional spraying machines.
Up to now, the tea planting area in Duimenshan Village has reached 4500 mu, and the tea planting area in the whole county is about to exceed 100000 mu. The application of modern agricultural machinery such as plant protection drones has changed traditional production methods and further boosted the development of the county’s tea industry.
