Research and development of drone management orchard

The top dairy cow base in China has settled in Zhongguancun, and will continue to carry out the full chain agricultural technology research and development from pasture to dining table. On March 17, the 2023 Dairy Industry Frontier Technology Exchange and High Quality Development Summit Forum was held in the Agricultural Zhongguancun Park in Pinggu District. Guests exchanged views on topics such as the construction of agricultural Zhongguancun.

In Agricultural Zhongguancun, the Shounong Dairy Breeding Base built by Shounong Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd. is clean and orderly, and its equipped intelligent system can ensure a stable and comfortable cowshed environment. With a distance of less than 1 km, it is located in the Jingwa Science and Technology Demonstration Park, which integrates dairy farming, greenhouse gardening, and fruit tree cultivation. The two bases have raised more than 2000 breeding cattle, with the development goal of becoming a “technology incubator” for the dairy industry.

“The intelligent level and research and development conditions of the base can be said to be the top in China.” Qiao Lv, President of Beijing Shounong Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd., introduced that the base will become a research and development highland for cow breeding technology in such aspects as cattle breeding, cow health, intelligent equipment, raising efficiency improvement, and raw milk quality optimization.

Zhu Yajing, Deputy Director of Agricultural Zhongguancun Management Committee, introduced that this year, the park will usher in a period of rapid development. The Agricultural Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System Research Institute of China Agricultural University will officially carry out innovation work, carrying out research and development of core technologies and equipment for unmanned operating systems such as unmanned farms, intelligent orchards, and digital greenhouses. In the future, intelligent equipment such as unmanned aerial vehicles will become the “main force” in the orchard; The Beijing (Pinggu) International Innovation Research Institute of Agricultural Microbiology, jointly established by the Beijing Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences and Pinggu District, will also commence construction within the year, becoming an international first-class excellent strain evaluation and creation platform and a national leading agricultural functional microbial product creation platform.
