On March 22, in a wheat field in Shijing Village, Wangji Town, Xinye County, four unmanned aerial vehicles skillfully shuttle over the wheat field, spraying nutrient solution.
Shi Zhenhai, the contractor of the wheat field, said, “At present, wheat is in the jointing stage and there is a large demand for nutrients. I have invited ‘Flying Hands’ to spray nutrients on the wheat using drones.”
With the help of technology, drones are replacing manual labor and becoming the “protagonist” of spring pipe. Shi Zhenhai, 42, has transferred more than 1700 acres of land and planted all wheat. He began using drones to fertilize and medicate wheat five years ago. Shi Zhenhai said that manual work is labor-intensive, time-consuming, and carries a risk of poisoning. Using unmanned aerial vehicles for operation, precise fertilization and medication, easy and efficient.
How long does it take to spray nutrient solution on more than 1700 mu of land? “If four drones operate continuously at the same time, it only takes three hours,” replied a “pilot.”.
Wang Lisheng, the person in charge of the authorized service station of Jifei Technology Xinye, introduced that compared to ordinary drones, this type of drone currently in operation has two characteristics. One is its large capacity, which can load 50 liters of medicine or nutrient solution, and spray 50 acres at a time, while the capacity of ordinary drones is only 12 liters; The second is the large spray volume, with ordinary drones spraying 12 liters per minute, while this type of drone sprays 22 liters. The advancement of drone technology has improved operational efficiency, allowing large farmers to taste the benefits of technological farming.
Spraying nutrient solution with drones is also cheap, costing only 7 yuan per acre of land. Shi Zhenhai said, “Using drones saves time and labor, and reduces the cost of spring tube.”
