Since April 1st, in the concentrated and contiguous planting areas of rapeseed in Minle Village, Youqi Village, and Ludushao Village of Hongfenghu Town, Qingzhen City, with the sound of “buzzing” and the control of on-site operators, drones have circled and taken off, spraying pesticides on the rapeseed fields according to the predetermined route. This is the first time in Qingzhen that drones have been used to spray pesticides to control aphids.
It is reported that the occurrence and harm of rapeseed aphids are closely related to temperature and rainfall. Under dry weather conditions with no or little rain, it is highly suitable for aphid reproduction and is prone to outbreaks and disasters. Since last winter, Qingzhen City has experienced prolonged dry and rainy weather, which provides a suitable environment for the growth and reproduction of aphids. In response, the Qingzhen City Planting Industry Center issued a rapeseed pest detection report to various township agricultural centers in early March, requesting agricultural technicians from each township agricultural center to guide rapeseed growers in prevention and control.
At present, rape flowers are basically withering, which is a good time to implement pest control. Compared with traditional manual work, the use of UAVs is more efficient, accurate and safe. To ensure a bumper harvest of rapeseed, the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Qingzhen City has dispatched drones to Hongfenghu Town to spray pesticides on the rapeseed planting base for farmers for free. This not only saves labor costs for farmers, but also implements unified prevention and control measures in concentrated and contiguous areas to ensure that pests have nowhere to hide and promote healthy rapeseed production.
The role of drone flight defense in modern agricultural production is becoming increasingly prominent. At the flight defense site, the staff introduced technical essentials while operating. In flight prevention operations, simply configure pesticides according to relevant requirements, set the flight route and altitude in advance through the controller, and the drone can automatically enter the “preset orbit” based on navigation feedback information, adjust the height with the ground, and carry out aerial operations to avoid poisoning and trampling on rapeseed by spraying personnel.
