Agricultural drone – its presence throughout the country

In Shaanxi

In the rice field of Yuheng Agricultural Machinery Professional Cooperative in Shahe Village, Qingshu Town, Nanzheng District, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province, a drone is conducting a flight defense operation. In just 10 minutes, more than ten acres of rice were easily drugged.

And a drone can complete over 200 acres in one day, with very high efficiency. In addition to saving time and effort, the entire process of drone operation is set and operated through computer settings, which greatly improves accuracy compared to manual judgment through experience. It can also reduce nearly half of the pesticide usage, making agricultural production greener. Tractor spraying can easily crush crops; Manual spraying poses the risk of uneven pesticide spraying and easy residue on operators, leading to poisoning and other risks.

In Xinjiang

Xinjiang accounts for nearly 80% of the country’s cotton production and is also the main storage area for cotton in the country. In the golden autumn of September, Xinjiang cotton enters a high yield period and is also a critical moment for spraying cotton defoliants.

Nowadays, instead of traditional tractor spraying, drone spraying of defoliant services has become very common in Xinjiang. In 2020, the epidemic reduced labor mobility in Xinjiang, but intelligent agricultural drones can ensure that cotton production efficiency is not affected by the epidemic.

With the efforts of “drones”, cotton production in Xinjiang has not been affected by the epidemic, but has actually increased income. According to the survey of China Cotton Association, it is estimated that this year’s cotton yield in Xinjiang is 5.244 million tons, and the probability of increasing seed cotton yield by 10-20 kg/mu is large, with a year-on-year increase of 4.1%.

In Northeast China

During the summer break, in the “Ten Thousand Mu Earth” paddy field technology park area of Hutou Town, Hulin City, eastern Heilongjiang Province, accompanied by bursts of roar, a group of plant protection drones rose into the air and worked over the endless rice fields.

Hutou Town, the “Ten Thousand Mu Earth” paddy field technology park, has a core area of 1000 acres and a radiation area of 100000 acres. In recent years, with the rapid development of aviation operations, this park has applied unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to rice operations. Aerial atomization spraying not only has good effects but also is environmentally friendly, reducing labor, improving work efficiency, and reducing labor costs, achieving increased agricultural production and efficiency. At present, the aviation operation of 100000 mu of rice in the park is being carried out in an orderly manner.

From south to north, multifunctional agricultural drones fly into the fields and fields, not only helping farmers to easily farm with scientific methods and obtain greater profits, but also playing an important role in improving the agricultural ecological environment and promoting the healthy and sustainable development of agriculture. Agricultural drones have gradually penetrated into multiple links such as sowing, fertilization, and plant protection, subverting traditional manual and mechanical labor methods, breaking the traditional production mode of extensive, and moving towards an era of intensive, precise, intelligent, and data-driven smart agriculture. The new mode of farming is within reach, let’s look forward to a bumper harvest together.
