The National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center recently organized an expert group to test the production of the Qingyou 3 rapeseed drone aerial seeding demonstration film located in Guopo Village, Baizi Town, Tongnan District. The mechanized combined harvesting method was used for this production test, and the average yield per mu was 211.7 kilograms.
Mei Desheng, the leader of the expert group and a researcher of the Institute of Oil Crops of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said that the yield increase of this variety is more than 20% compared with the large area of rape production, which also shows that this variety is very suitable for planting in the southwest.
It is understood that during the 2022-2023 rapeseed planting season, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has launched a nationwide rapeseed high yield competition, focusing on promoting a batch of high-quality new varieties of rapeseed. As a national level rapeseed seed production county, Tongnan District currently cultivates 320000 mu of rapeseed, with a mechanization rate of 65% and an average cost saving and efficiency increase of over 200 yuan per mu.
Tang Song, director of the cash crop Division of the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center and extension researcher, said that this technology of drone aerial seeding can ensure the density of rape and promote the increase of rape yield per unit area. Next, in other regions of the country, the technology of drone aerial seeding can also be widely promoted, which can drive the increase in yield in the main rapeseed producing areas.
