In order to better serve the agricultural production of the entire county, improve the level of agricultural machinery equipment and the socialized service capacity of agricultural machinery, and carry out multi-disciplinary agricultural machinery operation services, the Jingning County Agricultural Machinery Center recently invited technical personnel from the Qiyuan Branch Training Center of Gansu Qiyuan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. to provide flight prevention training for 15 operators in some townships and agricultural machinery cooperatives throughout the county.
The training adopts a combination of theoretical explanation, practical training, and student operation assessment, allowing each student to truly learn and understand the system composition, flight principles, operation technical process specifications, safety emergency measures, maintenance and other knowledge of plant protection drones.
The training teacher Yang Tao explained to the students, “The plant protection drone operates and controls it through ground remote control and GPS positioning. During the spraying process, its rotor generates downward airflow, which helps to enhance the penetration and contact surface of the mist pesticide to prevent and control crops, achieving the effect of reducing the dosage and improving the effectiveness of the pesticide
During the training session, Yang Tao explained the essentials of pairing, activation, component installation, charging process, drug dispensing, and takeoff preparation for the aircraft and remote control. He also demonstrated techniques such as takeoff and landing hovering, altitude and speed control, regional positioning, and plant protection operations with his hands.
After two days of theoretical and practical training, 13 trainees passed the certification of UAV system operators for plant protection certified by general aviation Branch of China Air Transport Association. Through training, I have mastered the technical essentials of drones and become a qualified ‘pilot’. Drone spraying of pesticides is time-saving, labor-saving, and safe. In the future, I will apply this technology well to agricultural production, “said Han Xiaolong, a trainee, happily.
In recent years, based on the responsibility positioning of “promoting new agricultural machinery and popularizing new technologies for agricultural machinery operation”, Jingning County has deeply carried out the application and demonstration promotion of plant protection machinery, strengthened the construction of plant protection machinery operator team, and allowed more new agricultural machinery and skilled operators to invest in the front line of agricultural and rural production, accelerated the pace of agricultural machinery application, and liberated more farmers from heavy field labor.
