At present, it is a good season for rice planting. In order to assist in current agricultural production, the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Guangze County has launched the first demonstration of rice drone planting in Zengfang Village, Huaqiao Township, providing replicable and promotable experience for the intelligent production of rice in the entire county.
On the early morning of May 23rd, on a mountain ridge field in Shangfang Group, Zengfang Village, Huaqiao Township, technicians skillfully controlled a Dajiang T30 drone. During this period, drones shuttle back and forth in an orderly manner in the air, accurately sowing rice seeds into the leveled fields.
In recent years, with a large number of young laborers going out to work, many rural areas have experienced the phenomenon of land abandonment. Young people born in the 1990s, including Fu Junxing, Fu Liangjun, and Deng Yongcai, actively responded to the local government’s call for rural revitalization. They not only returned to their hometown to engage in farming, but also took the lead in reclaiming land.
However, it is an undeniable fact that the planting cycle is long and the benefits are low. How to increase agricultural efficiency and farmers’ income? The County Agriculture and Rural Bureau took the opportunity of Guangze County being listed as one of the first national leading counties for scientific and technological modernization, actively cooperating with the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and introducing new drone rice direct seeding technology for the first time, greatly improving work efficiency, liberating labor force, exploring a new path of using modern technology to assist agricultural development, and also accumulating valuable experience for the promotion and application of drone direct seeding in Guangze County.
The introduction of drone rice direct seeding technology is mainly aimed at solving the problems of inaccurate and uneven seed usage in traditional manual direct seeding, improving work efficiency, and effectively solving the problems of labor shortage and difficulty in rural areas. It also provides strong guarantees for the centralized transfer of land resources to large households and food security in Guangze County, “said Cai Chuanzhong, the head of the Agricultural Technology Promotion Station of Guangze County Agriculture and Rural Bureau.
