Recently, in Jinpan Village, Yutang Township, agricultural drones flew back and forth over farmland, spraying pesticides while flying freely in the green corn fields, causing waves of wind and waves. This is a small microcosm of the modernization and mechanization of the agricultural industry in Yutang Township.
In order to comprehensively promote the high-quality and efficient development of agriculture and ensure the food security of the entire township, Yutang Township has introduced agricultural drones. It is understood that the new agricultural drone is equipped with a filter that can atomize pesticides, reducing the use of pesticides by 20% to 30%. This not only saves costs, but more importantly, reduces the pollution of pesticides to the environment. At the same time, it can improve the efficiency of pesticide use and reduce crop pesticide residues. It takes at least half a day to use a traditional sprayer to apply medicine to the fields on 5 acres of land. Nowadays, using agricultural drones can be done in just ten minutes.
“One UAV can complete nearly 100 mu of spraying operation every hour. Flying prevention operation by UAV can greatly save labor and time costs, and pest control is more thorough, more efficient, and more effective.” Chen Kechen, a staff member of Yutang Township Agricultural Service Center, said.
Next, Yutang Township will continue to leverage the advantages of convenient and efficient drone operations in field management, actively carry out crop pest control and weeding operations, while reducing environmental pollution and promoting green development, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the agricultural industry.
