In order to solve the problems of difficult vegetable planting and long transportation, and let the people eat more fresh seasonal vegetables, in 2022, the Zhidoi County County Government and the County Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Science and Technology Bureau invested nearly 2.3 million yuan to repair and rebuild four high intelligent greenhouses on the basis of the original greenhouses in the Vegetable farming base, to supplement the “weak board” in agricultural development.
Automated irrigation equipment, intelligent temperature control and adjustment systems, automatic rolling shutters… With the help of technology, the greenhouse can “showcase its skills” on the snowy plateau. Regardless of wind or snow, the greenhouse is always “warm as spring”. Looking at the growing vegetables in front of him, Cai Renwende, a staff member of the County Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Science and Technology Bureau, knew that his and his colleagues’ efforts were not in vain.
With brand new equipment but without the support of talent and technology, everything is equal to “zero”. After learning about the relevant situation, the County Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Science and Technology Bureau immediately hired experts to provide technical guidance for greenhouses and help solve planting technical problems. In the team of technical instructors, most of them are experienced growers in the local area. Due to their familiarity with the local climate, soil, and other environments, they are also adept at guiding, quickly turning the “newcomers” in the planting greenhouse into “experts”.
Rural revitalization requires industry first. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that we should comprehensively promote rural revitalization, prioritize the development of agriculture and rural areas, consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation, and accelerate the construction of an agricultural power.
