“Our base uses a mobile seedbed to move the traditional seedbed from the seedling border to the seedbed, which is convenient for management; an automatic sprinkler is installed to realize automatic water and fertilizer supplement. There are also an automatic light supplement system and an intelligent temperature control system, which can improve the problem of insufficient sunshine due to weather, and achieve intelligent temperature adjustment in the shed. It is reported that the base is an important industrial project in Xifeng District to promote the upgrading of the melon and vegetable industry. Last year, according to the development idea of “government led, company managed, enterprise operated and demonstration driven”, the local government invested 14 million yuan to build 18 solar greenhouses in two phases. By combining vegetable seedling cultivation with Vegetable farming, it planned vegetable seedling area, variety exhibition area and production demonstration area, and built an important supply base for high-quality melon and vegetable seedlings and a demonstration base for facility agriculture.

Zhang Jianyu introduced that 11 greenhouses in the first phase of the base have been built and put into use, one of which is a seedling greenhouse. Currently, nearly 600000 vegetable seedlings have been raised, and the remaining 10 greenhouses are planted with over 50 varieties of taste tomatoes, including Busan 88 and Chuanshou. During planting, Manure, rice husk and foliar fertilizer are applied, and drones are used for natural pollination to improve fruit quality and realize green production. At present, tomatoes have gradually matured and gone on the market, with a yield of over 10000 kilograms per mu. They are sold online and offline to local supermarkets and cities such as Xi’an and Yinchuan, with a total output value expected to reach around 5 million yuan.
