Located in New York, the Guggenheim Museum is the world’s famous private Museum of Modern Art, with the world’s most exquisite works of art of the twentieth century. In this exhibition, in addition to showcasing the tremendous changes in global agriculture, the curators also creatively represented emerging rural elements such as Chinese plant protection drones, super rice, and rural Taobao as museums, bringing agricultural technology into the museum known as the “Soul Temple” for the first time, providing visitors with a rare cross-border feast. Among them, the Xinjiang Agricultural Plant Protection Unmanned Aircraft T16, as a representative of China’s rural development, showcases China’s modern agricultural technology to the global people.
The Guggenheim “Village, Future” exhibition was jointly completed by the Koolhaas team, Harvard University, China Central Academy of Fine Arts and many other well-known institutions of learning. It gathered the knowledge, wisdom and field research results of research teams from different regions around the world, and demonstrated the technology and social forms of villages in the global upheaval. It was also the first exhibition in the history of the Guggenheim Museum that had nothing to do with art and architecture.
Along the spiral ramp of the circular hall of the Guggenheim Museum, images, films, objects and texts under different themes are presented in turn. From the dimensions of time and space, coupled with multi sensory settings, the fundamental reasons for the great changes in non urban space occupying 98% of the earth’s surface are deeply explored, showing the ongoing confrontation, conflict, change and progress in the global countryside, and exploring the direction of future rural development,
