In recent days, the County Agriculture and Rural Bureau and the Town Agriculture and Rural Comprehensive Service Center have launched intelligent drones in villages such as Rhinoceros, Zhehai, Wayao, Wulipai, and Iron and Steel to spray foliar fertilizer and pest control drugs on farmers’ corn, corn, and soybean composite intercropping fields for free, covering an area of over 13000 acres, laying a good foundation for increasing corn production and income.
At present, it is the critical period for corn field management and Pest control, but corn is a high stalk crop, and it is extremely difficult for artificial plant protection. Unlike manual operations in previous years, high-tech agricultural machinery has entered the fields. Under the operator’s positioning remote control, the drone implements spraying operations from above corn fields according to the set route. Foliar fertilizer and plant protection chemicals can form a mist like vapor and be sprayed in the field without gaps, which can make maize absorb evenly, improve leaf photosynthetic efficiency, promote crop growth, improve stress resistance, increase fruit coloring, improve fruit quality, increase fruit bearing and other functions, and is better than traditional artificial spray.
It is understood that intelligent drones can carry 6 kilograms of medicine at a time and can spray foliar fertilizer on an area of about 300 acres per day. It has the characteristics of high operational efficiency, precise spraying, intelligent spraying, and intelligent memory spraying. In addition, the wind generated by the drone’s propeller can also lift the leaves of crops, allowing pesticides to be sprayed onto the back and bottom of the leaves, exhibiting advantages such as good atomization, fast application speed, no heavy spraying, and no leakage. It is expected to increase corn income by more than 15%.
In the endless corn fields, the soaring drones are becoming a new picture of technology promoting agriculture. As a high-tech agricultural equipment, plant protection drones have become a “new favorite” in the field, greatly alleviating the long-standing problem of “difficult pesticide application” in the agricultural plant protection process, and achieving the upgrading transformation of “turning bitter farmers into cool farmers”.
