Drone plant protection helps to stabilize agricultural production and increase income

At present, it is the flowering and boll setting period of cotton, and it is also the Key Stage that determines cotton yield. In Kumukule Village, Tarim Township, Xayar County, cotton farmers are using UAVs to carry out cotton Pest control, making farming easier.

On July 30, we walked into the cotton field in Kumukule Village, Tarim Township, Xayar County. With the rapid rotation of the UAV propeller, a plant protection UAV slowly rose, and the spray was evenly sprayed on the cotton field.

“Our cotton field is now the third time to carry out Pest control, mainly controlling cotton bollworm, red spider, aphid, etc.” said Juzi Dawuti, a villager in Kumukule Village, Tarim Township, Xayar County. According to him, his family’s cotton has entered the budding and bolling stage. With the help of a plant protection drone, spraying according to the pre planned flight path can be completed in just a few minutes to prevent and treat diseases and pests.

This year, his family’s cotton is still growing well. With the help of scientific field management and high-tech equipment, he is full of confidence in the high yield and harvest of cotton this year. “Last year, I planted 45 mu of cotton, and the yield per mu reached 400 kg. It’s really convenient to use drones to Pest control on cotton,” said Juzi Dawuti, a villager in Kumukule Village, Tarim Township, Xayar County.

The use of drones to prevent and control cotton diseases and pests can reduce the amount of pesticides used, significantly reduce environmental pollution caused by pesticides, and also enable continuous spraying. The high-pressure atomization spraying system equipped with drones makes the droplet size smaller, making it easy for drugs to adhere to crops and harmful organisms. The prevention effect is significant, especially for cotton bollworms, red spiders, green blind bugs, thrips, aphids, etc.

In recent years, Kumukule Village, Tarim Township, Xayar County has continuously improved the level of agricultural modernization development, realizing large-scale agriculture, mechanized planting and intensive management. At the same time, the science and technology commissioner of Kumukule Village, Tarim Township, Xayar County took the initiative to serve in the front, and actively organized and mobilized the vast number of agricultural technicians to go deep into the field to guide cotton farmers and ensure the high yield of cotton.
