Plant protection UAV “flying prevention” rice Pest control

In midsummer, 13000 mu of rice in Zhaoxing Town, Liping County entered the critical period of management and protection. Through technical guidance and project support, the agricultural technicians in Zhaoxing Town guided large farmers and industrial cooperatives to use efficient plant protection drones to step up Pest control and fertilization of rice, so as to ensure grain production and income increase.

Agricultural technology experts from the Agricultural Comprehensive Service Center of Zhaoxing Town conducted field investigations and found that rice has recently suffered from diseases and pests. If not prevented and controlled in a timely manner, it will seriously affect rice yield. In order to do a good job in rice Pest control, the town’s comprehensive agricultural service center established a rice Pest control working group, divided areas to carry out rice Pest control guidance work, and cooperated with the county’s agricultural and rural bureau to use plant protection drones to control rice diseases and insect pests in contiguous Growing region such as Pilin Village, with obvious results.

At present, it is in the jointing stage of rice, which is also the key period of rice Pest control. In order to reduce labor intensity and improve work efficiency, Zhaoxing Town used plant protection drones to conduct Pest control on rice in the high-yield demonstration field of rice in Pilimba District. In this flight control operation, Dinotefuran, meveindocarb and tebuconazole are selected to effectively control rice planthopper, rice leaf roller, rice blast and other pests.

It is understood that compared with the traditional manual backpack spray, the UAV has good atomization, high utilization rate, and can effectively reduce pesticide residues without re spraying or missing spraying. It can save 90% of water and 30% -50% of pesticides. It only takes about 2 minutes to spray one mu of land, and the daily operation area can reach 200-300 mu, 30 times the efficiency of manual spraying. As of now, more than 2000 acres have been sprayed using drones.

The use of aerial plant protection drones can not only effectively reduce the labor intensity of grain farmers, but also reduce production costs and increase farmers’ enthusiasm for grain cultivation. Next, Zhaoxing Town will fully leverage the role of smart agriculture to ensure the increase of grain production and income.
