To ensure a bountiful rice harvest, the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Wuchuan Autonomous County has specially hired a professional drone team to spray pesticides and insects on over 8000 acres of rice in the county.

It is understood that the drone team will spray all over 8000 acres of rice fields in about 5 days to ensure the timeliness of rice field management. During the spraying process, they will also choose appropriate pesticide types and spraying doses based on different weather conditions and actual crop conditions to ensure the effectiveness and safety of pesticides.

The benefits of drone spraying pesticides not only lie in improving the efficiency of agricultural production, but also in reducing the pollution of pesticides to the environment. Traditional manual spraying methods are prone to uneven spraying, resulting in waste and pollution of pesticides, while drone spraying can accurately control the amount and range of pesticide spraying.

According to the project leader Zheng Xiaqi, this is the second time drone management has been carried out this year. Before harvesting, they will also decide whether to carry out the third management based on the actual situation of rice diseases, fully ensuring the abundant harvest of rice this year. At the same time, they will continue to work hard to improve the technical level of drone pesticide spraying and provide better services for agricultural production in the county.
