On August 9th, at the Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Center of Mintian Nonggu in Ningjin County, the large screen displayed a network woven by the county’s agricultural big data. The latest growth status, soil moisture, and meteorological information of field crops are constantly being uploaded and updated. Relying on this platform, in the vast countryside, agricultural digitization provides professional and precise guidance for agricultural production, and also makes traditional farming easier.
Ningjin County takes the opportunity of being included in the provincial-level digital rural pilot program to accelerate its pace in the new track of digital economy. The county has taken the lead in implementing the Sky Land Integrated Smart Agriculture Big Data Platform project in the city, achieving the goals of water conservation, fertilizer conservation, and efficiency enhancement through the digitization of agricultural production. Li Zhenxing, Director of the Digital Agriculture Department of the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Ningjin County, introduced: “We refer to the requirements of the national digital agriculture innovation and application wheat planting base, and build a smart agriculture big data platform that integrates the sky and land in Ningjin County, empowering the entire county’s’ ton and half grain ‘production capacity construction with digitization.
Before production, the overall goal is to scientifically calculate the formula fertilization plan based on the yield of each plot. In production, the integrated monitoring system of sky and land is used to dynamically monitor crop growth, and scientifically recommend irrigation, fertilization, and application strategies that meet the growth needs of wheat and corn. After production, use crop models and remote sensing to simulate maturity and weather, and make decisions about harvest. Based on the characteristics of crops, establish their growth models, provide functions such as data query, intelligent analysis, and scientific decision-making, guide farmers to standardize production and apply fertilizer scientifically, promote the implementation of seedling classification guidance, formula fertilization, effective pest and disease prevention, crop growth monitoring, maturity monitoring, remote sensing harvest progress, and promote the green, sustainable, and high-quality development of agriculture in the entire county.
At the same time, relying on the Ningjin County Sky Land Integrated Smart Agriculture Big Data Platform, we have developed and launched the “Ningjin Cloud Agricultural Service” WeChat mini program, which allows farmers to query soil, meteorological and other data of the plot. It has functions such as online consultation, technical guidance plan push, disease and pest identification and prevention, disaster weather warning push, and agricultural production services, completely opening up the “last mile” of serving the masses from the agricultural production level. At the high standard wheat seed production base in Baodian Town, the intelligent monitoring and warning station for agricultural and biological disasters accurately collects surrounding environmental data in real time, and provides real-time feedback to the Mintian Nonggu Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Center. Agricultural experts can remotely view the growth of wheat seedlings using images; With the help of the returned data on the surrounding environment of the wheat field, the content of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients in each field can be viewed online, and the soil testing formula fertilization plan can be recommended based on the target yield. Zhou Yanli, a vegetable grower in Nanjie Village, Baodian Town, said, “You can check what fertilizer and how much to apply through the WeChat mini program. If the plant has various diseases and pests, you can take photos and upload them to provide us with technical guidance at any time.
In Ningjin, smart agriculture has achieved digital “from the people, for the people”, and more and more rural areas are taking the “special train” of digital development, continuously making efforts in rural governance, industrial revitalization, and other aspects. The county relies on modern agricultural industrial parks, live streaming bases, logistics parks, and commercial markets to vigorously promote the development model of “real economy+e-commerce+modern circulation”, actively encourage the exploration of new models for community e-commerce development, and use technologies such as big data to improve the level of rural e-commerce financial services. Shiji Town takes the social governance intelligent service platform as the focus of community construction, proposes the “3210” model of grassroots social governance, relies on the integration of smart Skynet and dual networks, handles public demands on the front line, achieves zero negative evaluation of grassroots satisfaction, and achieves the social governance goal of “small things do not leave the village, major events do not leave the town, and contradictions do not hand in”.
