Now, I have to hire about 15 workers to pick them in the field every day. This year, the tomato market is good, and it can sell for 1.5 yuan per kilogram. “The base owner, Shi Minghui, told me with a bright smile that packaged tomatoes are sold far to Guangdong, Guangxi, and other places, with a net profit of nearly 500000 yuan in previous years. This year, it should be even better.

In recent years, Jichang Town has actively adjusted and optimized its agricultural industry structure, firmly adhering to the path of high-quality and efficient agricultural development, and vigorously developing the tomato planting industry. The entire town has a planting area of about 3000 acres, an average yield of 12000 kilograms per mu, and an output value of over 10000 yuan per mu. This has further achieved agricultural efficiency and increased farmers’ income, leading more villagers to embark on a “hot” path of rural revitalization.
