The “Three Zero” New Technology Makes the Vegetable Industry More “Green”

During the planting process, mineral fertilizers, compost, and organic nitrogen fertilizers are used to replace chemical fertilizers, and beneficial microbial agents such as actinomycetes, yeast, natto bacteria, and lactic acid bacteria are used to promote crop survival and suppress pests and diseases. During the growth process of crops, measures such as temperature regulation and water regulation are adopted for control. Not only that, physical control is also an important part of achieving the “three zeros”, using yellow and blue pest control boards, sex attractants, black light lamps, etc. to attract pests and protect the healthy growth of crops.

These measures, based on plant nutrition, microbiology, and plant ecology, are designed and managed from a biological logic perspective, creating a favorable growth environment for plant roots, allowing crops to effectively absorb nutrients, and thus grow into high-quality crops with rich flavors and balanced ingredients.

At present, Pengbao Town in Yuanzhou District has planted over 2300 acres of “three zero” vegetables, including varieties such as cauliflower, spinach, and Shanghai green. The vegetable yield per acre ranges from 1 ton to 3 tons, with a retail price of 9.9 yuan per share. The output value per acre can reach around 25000 to 40000 yuan.

Four cold vegetable distribution centers, namely Yaomo, Yanglang, Wumo and Mayuan, have been built in the cold vegetable industry concentration areas of Pengbao Town and Touying Town, driving the area of large-scale pre cooling warehouses and ice making workshops in the whole district to 50000 square meters, trading greenhouses to 24000 square meters, and two vegetable sorting and packaging workshops and two foam box factories. The annual pre cooling sorting and packaging sales of various vegetables are more than 600000 tons, Connecting the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, carrying out clean vegetable processing and high-quality vegetable sales, extending the industrial chain, increasing industrial added value, achieving efficient connection between the ever-changing large market and the small-scale production of thousands of households, and promoting the transformation of cold vegetables from household by household production to large-scale and intensive production.

In recent years, Yuanzhou District has continuously promoted the expansion, improvement, and efficiency of the cold vegetable industry. This year, with the focus on the northern Qingshuihe River Valley and Chuandao District, we will layout and promote the “two towns and two belts” planting development plan, build 35 demonstration villages for the development of cold vegetable industry, consolidate and enhance the integration of the first, second, and third industries in Yaomo Vegetable, and achieve a cold vegetable planting area of 250000 acres and a production value of 2 billion yuan.
