The beautiful scenery of Shudi Huahai Wetland is a microcosm of Xiuyan’s adherence to the “two mountains” concept to lead green development and achieve significant results in ecological environment construction. The construction of the Shudi Huahai Wetland Ecological System began in 2018, with a total area of over a thousand acres. In 2021, under the guidance of the Xiuyan County Party Committee and Government, relevant departments upgraded the wetland ecosystem and renamed it Xiuyan Wetland Ecological Agricultural Park. The park focuses on ecological protection, with the purpose of sightseeing and leisure, picking and entertainment, and the dissemination of traditional agricultural culture, highlighting the experimental promotion and demonstration of new agricultural technologies, products, and models.

In 2021, the Xiuyan Wetland Ecological Agriculture Park was constructed and managed by the Xiuyan Agriculture and Rural Development Center. It maintains 330 acres of wetland water system every year, with a water conservation capacity of 200000 cubic meters. It protects over 30 species of plants, 6 species of birds, and 4 species of fish, with a vegetation coverage rate of over 36.5%. At the same time, 100 acres of flowers are planted, over 500 acres of various economic crops are planted, and more than 20 types of crop products are simultaneously planted and displayed.
