High precision probes monitor the growth of rice, and 5G+plant protection drones occasionally pass through the fields… Yanjiagang Smart Farm, a subsidiary of Beidahuang Group, uses Huawei base station and digital farm operation mode. Artificial intelligence and 5G technology are applied to the fields, and agricultural production is moving from mechanization to intelligence.
On the farm, various agricultural monitoring equipment can be seen everywhere. For example, the leaf visual sensor for real-time monitoring of leaf growth integrates advanced technology equipment such as intelligent controllers, pan tilt cameras, robotic arms, stepper motors, etc. It can accurately move at different angles and positions, achieve multi-directional and multi-angle observation of plants, and provide decision-making basis for agricultural activities. Wang Chunjiang, Deputy General Manager of Yanjiagang Farm Co., Ltd., stated that the use of this equipment has greatly saved labor costs. Currently, rice is in the filling stage, and visual sensors can constantly monitor rice growth, prevent pests and diseases, and supplement nutrients.
According to Lan Tianyi, Vice President of Beidahuang Group Information Company, Beidahuang has implemented the “One Map, One Family” approach to agricultural resource mapping, implementing one land parcel, one code, and completing the data collection and mapping of plots from 9 subsidiaries and 108 farms in the reclamation area. This involves over 45 million acres of arable land and gathers multi-source data such as geographic space, crop cultivation, soil environment, remote sensing, and ownership, Provided digital base support for agricultural production and operation.
Since 2020, Beidahuang has successively launched the construction of two batches of 20 digital agriculture (animal husbandry) farms, with a total core demonstration area of 304000 acres and a radiating driving area of 2.36 million acres, forming a replicable and promotable digital agriculture integrated application solution. It has built six large-scale domestic agricultural machinery equipment smart farms, including Qixing, Shengli, Chuangye, Hongwei, Qindeli, and Erdaohe, and built a leading smart farm group in China.
In response to the issue of “who will cultivate land in the future”, beneficial explorations have also been made in the “digital intelligence” transformation of the Northern Wilderness. Lan Tianyi stated that Beidahuang aims to solve the problems of productivity and production relations in agricultural development by applying digital technology to empower the rational allocation of the five major elements of “land, labor, resources, technology, and data” in agriculture.
Beidahuang provides digital service support in areas such as land contracting, agricultural loans, and standardized planting. At present, Beidahuang has independently developed a “one-stop” digital agricultural service app and achieved full coverage of land reclamation applications. Currently, there are a total of 560000 registered users. Planters can complete basic field applications, sign contract contracts, and pay fees online through the app, especially when face-to-face work is not possible, the land contracting business for planters is completed online.
In addition, Beidahuang also takes financial support for agriculture as the starting point, and solves the problems of complex offline loan procedures and long loan cycles for growers in the past through the application of agricultural loan assistants, achieving “one click access, instant loan application, and instant repayment”. In the first half of this year, a total of 12.046 billion yuan of online loans and 2.531 billion yuan of agricultural subsidies were distributed through the platform.
