Unmanned Orchard Digital Platform

On September 1st, the media group visit activity of Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences was held online at the Zhihui Bafang International News Center of the 2022 Smart Expo. On site, multiple experts discussed topics such as the smart seedling factory project in Xinglong Town, Yubei District, and the assistance of smart agriculture in rural revitalization.

At the meeting, Liu Jizhen, Deputy Director and Researcher of the Industrial Development Department of Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences, focused on explaining the technology and equipment of the fish and vegetable symbiosis AI factory of Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences, as well as the two achievements of “one map”, “one platform”, and “one network” in creating a digital closed-loop of mountain agriculture.

Liu Jizhen introduced that after years of research, Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences has also developed an overall solution for fish vegetable symbiosis intelligent factory technology and equipment. The annual yield of vegetables per unit area is 20 tons/mu, the fish density can reach 100 kg/m3, the bait coefficient is reduced by 20%, and the growth cycle is shortened by 1/2. Realize a complete cycle of coupled planting and breeding, fully replace nitrogen fertilizer in vegetable cultivation, save water and fertilizer by over 50%, and overall save labor by over 80%. The project has been promoted and applied, with a contract amount of 50 million yuan for the transformation of results.

And “One Platform” refers to the intelligent management platform for mountain orchards. This intelligent management platform has achieved refined management and standardized operations, resulting in a 40% increase in the first-class fruit rate. “Yizhang Network” refers to the “Ba Wei Yu Zhen” e-commerce platform. The platform focuses on poverty alleviation and rural revitalization themes, and adopts marketing methods such as base live streaming and leadership endorsement, with a cumulative transaction volume of over 100 million yuan. In the logistics transportation process, traction AGV is used to achieve automatic transportation of the transfer rack on any seedbed in the sowing and seedling workshops. The average work efficiency of the system reaches 1080 trays/hour, saving more than 3 workers in this process. In the seedling management phase, an Internet of Things system for environmental control equipment such as sunshades and fans has been developed, which automatically controls temperature, humidity, lighting, water and fertilizer based on greenhouse environmental parameters.

At the same time, a production traceability system has been constructed, which uses real-time on-site input to collect traceability information from personnel, time, weather, and other aspects of seed sources and varieties. Users can view the data of each stage in the seedling production process by scanning the QR code.
