On September 4th, as I walked into the Anyang Drone Industrial Park, I saw a drone taking off, circling, adjusting flight altitude, and spraying pesticides on the outdoor test flight site under the control of the staff. This is the drone quality inspection center of Henan Province helping enterprises settled in the industrial park to test the performance and flight parameters of drones.
It is understood that the Henan UAV Quality Inspection Center (hereinafter referred to as the Inspection Center) was invested and constructed by the People’s Government of Beiguan District. It was established in 2017 and obtained the provincial-level UAV testing qualification in July 2020, becoming the first provincial-level UAV quality inspection center in China. In March 2022, the inspection center expanded its project from 47 parameter certifications to 290, achieving full coverage in the field of civilian drones. The inspection center consists of 15 laboratories, among which the wind tunnel laboratory and electromagnetic compatibility laboratory are the core and flagship testing projects, with an annual testing of over 150 drones.
The government of Beiguan District has increased investment to help the inspection center solve equipment problems, actively apply for CNAS testing qualifications, expand laboratory testing capabilities, accelerate the construction process of electromagnetic compatibility laboratories, improve manual dynamic testing wind tunnel testing capabilities, increase research and development investment, strengthen technological advantages, continuously improve management innovation capabilities, provide technical support for drone enterprises, and promote the improvement of product quality Qiao Long, director of the comprehensive department of the inspection center, said.
In recent years, the drone industry in Beiguan District has developed rapidly, forming the first batch of national civilian unmanned aerial test zones; The development layout of unmanned aerial vehicle R&D and manufacturing bases, 5G ubiquitous low altitude testing bases, Henan Province unmanned aerial aviation pilot test bases, as well as unmanned aerial vehicle flight test centers, 5G unmanned aerial vehicle command and control centers, and Henan Province unmanned aerial vehicle quality inspection centers, including “one zone, three bases, and three centers”, has led to an increasingly complete industrial infrastructure.
Our company settled in Beiguan District in 2018. Initially, there were only four or five companies in the park. Over the years, as the park has grown step by step, we have also grown accordingly. In 2018, our company had a turnover of only two to three million yuan, and by 2020 and 2021, our turnover has reached thirty to forty million yuan. What has enabled our company to develop rapidly is policy support and the rich supporting facilities provided by the park. Next year, our company’s drone production is expected to be increased Over 200 aircraft Yang Yuanchao, Deputy General Manager of Anyang Honeycomb Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.
In order to attract more enterprises to settle in the Anyang Drone Industrial Park, Beiguan District has planned to build industrial supporting facilities such as talent apartments, 5G technology application demonstration bases, geoinformation industrial parks, training schools, shared factories, and drone driver’s license examination centers, providing enterprises with comprehensive services such as pilot training, driver’s license examination, pilot research and development, and data analysis. At present, the industrial infrastructure construction of the park has invested over 400 million yuan, providing more than ten types of service projects, and nearly 40 settled enterprises.
Wang Xiangning, the head of 5G unmanned aerial vehicle business at China Unicom Research Institute, introduced that currently, Anyang is the only 5G low altitude unmanned aerial vehicle base in China, known to no one in the drone industry and has a significant influence.
