Xiaonan District Modern Agricultural Industrial Park

From September 14th to 15th, following the launch of the second online review competition and Jingchu People’s Livelihood Observation Group’s visit to Shouheng City in Xiaonan District, the Jingchu People’s Livelihood Observation Group visited Gangrong Food Enterprise, Shuanglu Shuang Food Enterprise, Xiangrun Ecological Agriculture Base, Zhuhu National Wetland Park, Xiaonan District National Modern Agriculture Industrial Park and other places within the jurisdiction of Xiaonan District to gain a deeper understanding of the food enterprises and agricultural development situation in Xiaonan District. Through on-site visits and observations, Provide valuable suggestions for the construction of a strong agricultural zone in Xiaonan District.

The first site of this online review competition and Jingchu People’s Livelihood Observation Group activity was chosen to be launched in Shouheng City, with the aim of exerting the effect of Shouheng City and assisting the development of key industries in Xiaonan District. Xiaonan District has seized the development opportunities of the Han and Xiao cities, optimized the business environment and industrial policies, and introduced the Shouheng City project to be located in Maochen Town. The planned area is 8000 acres, with a total construction area of 7 million square meters and a project investment of 30 billion yuan. It aims to create the largest, most comprehensive, most advanced, and fully functional full industry chain commercial circulation platform in central China, which plays a great leading role in the modernization and high-level development of agricultural industrial parks.

Entering Hubei Gangrong Food Company, the Minsheng Observation Team gained a detailed understanding of the development and production situation of key food enterprises in Xiaonan District. Hubei Gangrong Food Company is a large-scale food enterprise mainly engaged in cake production. The new project has been fully put into operation, with an annual output value of 2 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 80 million yuan. The enterprise will cooperate with Shouheng City to supply the company’s flagship “Gangrong Steamed Cake” series products to Shouheng City, leveraging the market advantages of Shouheng City · Huazhong International Food Industry New City supply chain to promote mutual benefit and win-win situation between both parties.

Zhuhu glutinous rice “is an excellent raw material for making Xiaogan sesame sugar rice wine. In the Shuanglu Shuang rice wine production workshop, a livelihood observation team visited the rice wine manufacturing process, tasted sweet rice wine, and praised the delicious rice wine beverage brewed from Zhuhu glutinous rice. In order to extend the glutinous rice industry chain and expand the precision and deep processing of glutinous rice, Xiaonan District has supported more than 10 sesame sugar rice wine enterprises for technological transformation and upgrading. Shuanglu Shuang, Shenglong, Mixiu and other sesame sugar rice wine production enterprises have all invested over 100 million yuan in expansion and transformation, with an additional production capacity of over 100000 tons. At the same time, domestic food giant Qinqin Group has been introduced to invest in the rice wine industry. Currently, Xiaogan Qinqin Company has completed an investment of over 200 million yuan and built a standardized rice wine production factory covering an area of more than 140 acres. The main project construction of the Qinqin School has been completed, which has a significant promoting effect on the development and growth of the Xiaogan rice wine industry.

Entering the Zhuhu National Wetland Park in Xiaogan, Hubei, with a warm autumn breeze and picturesque scenery, this is a vivid practice of Xiaonan District’s practice of “green waters and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains”. The wetland area of Zhuhu Lake is 3046.32 hectares, with a wetland rate of 66.10%. In October 2021, it was included in the pilot project of the nearly zero carbon emissions demonstration project in the province. It is a science popularization education base in Hubei Province, a wetland research base at Chongqing University, a national 3A level tourist attraction, and a “natural carbon reservoir and urban garden” in Wuhan and Xiaogan. Xiaonan District continues to increase efforts in ecological conservation and restoration, adhere to the principle of relying on lakes for water, scientific governance, and continue to promote the composite wetland project of combining trees and shrubs, forest belts and forests, and lakes, water, forests, fields, and grass ecology.
