The 2022 Field meeting for the prevention and control of major rice diseases and insects in Fang County was held in Xiaotun Township. Dafang County provincial science and technology commissioner Wen Jing said, this is the implementation of the central and provincial Party Committee, provincial government decisions and deployment, shoulder the political responsibility for food security pragmatic move. The objective is to strengthen agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation, vigorously promote the green prevention and control technology of rice pests and diseases, realize the reduction of pesticide quantity and efficiency, minimize the damage loss of diseases and insects, and achieve the goal of “the worm takes the food” to ensure the harvest.

Recently, due to the continuous high temperature and humidity, rice diseases and insect pests have entered a high incidence period, which is the early stage of the occurrence of rice diseases and insect pests such as rice bud, rice leaf roller borer and rice blast. The RICE high-yield demonstration team went into the field to understand the growth of rice and investigate the occurrence of rice pests and diseases. Based on the survey results, the team suggested implementing the new development concept of using unmanned aerial vehicles to control rice pests and diseases.

Uav flight control is an important means of unified control of diseases and insect pests, and is one of the efficient green prevention and control technologies. It can control diseases and insect pests in 10 to 12 mu of land in 8 minutes.
