Recently, a plant protection drone shuttled back and forth over the high-yield demonstration area of rice in Nawan Village, Huashi Town, Fangcheng District, Fangchenggang City, spraying water mist like pesticides to evenly wrap the rice leaves. Compared to the traditional manual pesticide application mode, plant protection drones have the advantages of faster operation speed and higher efficiency, greatly saving labor costs, increasing pesticide application safety, and significantly improving pesticide utilization rate.
At present, it is a critical period for rice control. In addition to using plant protection drones to spray biological pesticides on rice fields, the Agricultural and Rural Bureau of Fangcheng District also organizes agricultural technicians to go deep into the fields, guide and promote various knowledge and technologies of disease and pest control, and improve farmers’ awareness of unified pest control.
Huang Zaiyun, a villager from Navan Village, Huashi Town, specially attended the training activity on the same day and watched the pesticide spraying process of the plant protection drone. I have planted 10 acres of rice in this high-yield demonstration area. Today, the government organized drones to help us spray diseases and pests, effectively reducing our labor intensity, “Huang Zaiyun said happily.
Since the beginning of this year, Fangcheng District has successively used plant protection drones in Maoling Town and Huashi Town to spray biological pesticides on over 400 acres of rice high-yield demonstration areas, prevent and control diseases and pests, and carry out relevant training activities to further promote the reduction of chemical pesticides, accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of agriculture in Fangcheng District, and effectively ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products.
